What is IELTS?
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a globally recognized exam that provides a detailed assessment of the English language skills of non-native speakers aiming to work, study, or migrate to English-speaking countries.
Administered in the Netherlands and Belgium by the British Language Training Centre (BLTC) in collaboration with the British Council and Cambridge Assessment English, the test centres are located in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Bosch, Den Haag, Eindhoven and Zwolle.
IELTS assesses all four language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking – providing separate scores for each skill and an overall score. The test offers options for Academic or General Training skills and can be taken either on paper or on a computer. Results for the paper-based test are available after 13 days, while computer-based test results are typically available within 3-5 days.
